u is for urban outfitters

There is something about Urban Outfitters that I adore. The overall style is definitely not my exact taste, but I love the montage of different brands that the store carries, and how somehow I can always find something to purchase (or at least try on). The shoes and accessories are great, but my real interest is in the incredible stock of Summer clothes that just flew into the Granville location; you will honestly see something that you love before you can utter 'sundress.'

I recently purchased an amazing ivory jacket that I wore to the Nickelback concert on Thursday. It's chic, lightweight, and can be dressed up or down. It's one of those items that you can wear with just about anything, adding a little spice to a simple outfit. It also looks amazing belted (shown on the model) which gives it my favourite attribute - versatility! I also donned a black sequined shirt, black cigarette jeans (BDG, also from Urban Outfitters), and gorgeous vintage heels given to me by my boyfriend's mom.

Pins & Needles Romper $48
Lucca Couture Zip-Front Romper $58
Lucca Couture Open-Back Sundress $78
Dolce Vita Patricia Dress $158
Kimchi Blue Skirt $48
Kimchi Blue Crosshatch Pant $58

Reasonably priced and so adorable, these were just a few of my favourite looks for the upcoming sunshine. I love the bright colour palette and light fabrics; they're all so breezy and playful! I'm still on the hunt for a perfectly fitting romper for those casual beach days. I love how the Pins & Needles floral 'dress' is a hidden jumpsuit! And for those rainy afternoons (which happen quite often in Vancity) a good pair of above-the-ankle pants are the perfect substitute. Hello summer!

  1. I love the Kimchi Blue crosshatch pant. It looks like the perfect colour, and the tie waist and cuffed legs add a sophisticated touch to this casual pant length.
