the takeover of prints

Whether its animal, tribal, stripes, or floral, prints seem to be slowly taking over my wardrobe - and I'm not complaining! I love how patterns give a simple shirt, shoe, or bag the ultimate 'wow' factor. One of my favourite ways to wear prints is going big and bold on the bottom with a great patterned skirt or shorts, while choosing a plain tank on top, and accessorizing with a chunky necklace. Simple, but so effective! I'll be posting my own elegance ensemble featuring prints in the near future! For now, here are some great patterned finds to spice up your closet this summer.

Mini Kaftan, Emilio Pucci $760
Vintage Floral Shoulder Bag, Forever 21 $20
Halter Printed Waistcoat, Topshop $90
Swallow Print Tunic, ASOS $54
Swansong Floral Wedge, Jeffrey Campbell $105
Double Breasted Jacket, Rachel Roy $149
Leopard Playsuit, Topshop $70
Lahaina Floral Romper, Nastygal $44

  1. This is such a lovely post! All of these pieces are so pretty. That tunic from ASOS reminds me of the pattern from Miu Miu's spring line. I'm rather obsessed with it. (:

  2. I love patterns as well! I prefer my patterns in skirts and things. Nice!

  3. Great post! I'm loving prints too... hard to find ones in Vancouver that don't look tacky, though eh?

I esp. love the first one... too bad it's the designer piece and I could never afford it haha!

    Happy Wednesday!

  4. love love love all these pics! and i love your item of the week - the dvf clogs!

    xx Niki

  5. My favorite all time print is leopard and that Topshop playsuit is awesome xoxo

  6. I am loving tribal prints right now, but I have to be careful not to over do it. I like to buy prints at places like Forever 21 and H&M because I don't like to spend a lot of money on them..they eventually go out of style!

  7. loving the jeffrey campbell floral wedges and the topshop playsuit!
