I'VE HAD A busy, crazy week. Well, it feels like every week has a little bit of craziness in it, doesn't it? So I'm allowing myself this weekend to sleep in as much as possible, laugh as much as possible, and dream up as many ideas as possible. Sleep, laugh and dream. I could get used to that.
Here's a few lovely links that will put a smile on your face this weekend:

When I received an invite to the Loden Hotel's wedding showcase to promote their luxury driven Diamond Package I couldn't say no. Wedding dresses, cupcakes, canapes and cocktails? Perfection. I brought my lovely friend and photographer Kelly Swanson with me and we had such a great time. Hosted in the Halo Penthouse Suite with a beautiful view of the Vancouver skyline, the event showed all the benefits of getting married in style. Something Blue showcased one-of-a-kind dresses, Montecristo jewellery was on display, delicious appies were served by Tableau Bar Bistro, and the guests were treated to as many sweets as they pleased from Cupcakes on Denman. Thanks to Shannon from Heth PR for inviting me to a fabulous event!
With Shannon - Loved her dress, and she has a baby boy on the way!

I'M SO EXCITED for this blog post today. Last month Kelly and I planned a photoshoot and I thought it would be a great idea to show you a behind-the-scenes look at what she does! She gives fabulous direction and has such an honest, passionate approach to her photography. She loves it, and it definitely shows! To see more of her fabulous photos check out her website and visit her Facebook page. A huge thank you to my babe Andrew Cho for filming and editing. Happy Tuesday everyone and I hope you enjoy the video!

WITH THE SEASON five premiere of AMC's Mad Men happening on Sunday night, I thought I would test out a bit of 60s glam. I have to admit, I don't watch the show regularly, but I've always absolutely loved the costuming. Polka dots may be a little more 50s but the style and silhouette felt perfect for Mad Men inspiration - as well, I love any excuse to rock a dramatic red lip and my vintage kitten heels. What about you? Did you watch the premiere and dress the part? I'd love to see your own Mad Men worthy outfits!

TGIF! Some of my weekly delights:
- Supporting a local tea cafe and being greeted with a smile, a yummy sample, and the most delicious tea latte that costs less than half what I would pay anywhere else and tastes ten times as good.
- Crowding around a computer with three people, having no idea how to edit a movie and serendipity happens because of this song. Hello masterpiece.
- Taking a sick day, wearing zero makeup and catching up on all of the amazing blogs that I follow like This Time Tomorrow and Atlantic-Pacific. Inspiration overload.
- Realizing due to said blogs that I really need to move to California.
- Being fully aware of my horrible knife skills and silently challenging myself to cut the skin off an avocado... and succeeding.
- How gorgeous my city is on clear nights. It makes up for the endless days of rain, just for that beautiful sunset.
- Finding out that this guy eats mac & cheese with a fork and likes cadbury creme eggs. Meant to be? I think so.
Enjoy the little things today! Have a fabulous weekend everyone.

I THINK MY busy lifestyle finally caught up to me this week. My immune system decided to take a vacation leaving me with a sore throat, fever and stuffy nose. Even though I was feeling under the weather, I knew that I didn't want to miss the Vancouver Fashion Blogger Sale that happened on Saturday at the Waldorf. And I'm so glad I went! It was great to mingle with all the girls and do a bit of shopping! I left with a fabulous pair of studded leather booties (pictured below) from Jen of Her Waise Choice. They fit like a dream and I can't wait to style them in my wardrobe! Since I didn't think you'd want to see me in pajama pants and an 'I Love NY' tee, I thought I'd do a little feature on a few pairs of my favourite heels. Have a great Wednesday!

I FEEL LIKE my style is constantly evolving these days. Last year, I can remember that I barely owned one pair of trousers... and now I have ten. I used to hate wearing pants! It was always a skirt or dress and tights - lots of flowy fabrics and pearls. Now, probably due to my office job, I experiment a lot more with clean cuts, structured jackets and tailored pants. These grey wool trousers I picked up at Joe Fresh on sale for a cool $20. Actually, this whole outfit I paid under $50 for each item. Who can resist a good deal, right? Have a great start to the week everyone!

JUST A QUICK hello on this Saturday morning. I have a such a great day ahead of me, and an even better night. I can say with certainty that there will be best friends, fabulous dresses, red lipstick, high heels, bottles of vino and a million laughs.
It is so great being a girl. Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

FINALLY I GET to show off a few of my purchases from New York City! Granted, they are both from H&M, and I could have bought them at home, but I fell head over heels for this perfectly on-trend peplum dotted blouse when I was at the SoHo store. As well, my new favourite purse to tote around town is similar to the coveted Cambridge, but much easier on my wallet. H&M has had so many great pieces lately, from neon and pastels to dots and florals.
Although very few big-name clothing stores are in the town of Fort Langley, Andrew and I decided to grab a cup of tea from the local cafe Wendel's and take a few photos by the train tracks. There's a great shop called The Little White House - if you're ever in the area, I recommend stopping by for high tea, wonderful home decor and stylish finds! It's where I found my favourite leopard print purse (worn here and here). Have a great day everyone!
