printed pants

Bold, versatile, and ridiculously comfortable, I've officially bought into the 'pajama pant' trend, and I'm not looking back. I've been styling these with slouchy tops and sweaters, but they also go amazingly well with a simple crop top. I've been searching for great pieces to transition into colder weather, and these pants definitely fit the criteria. Also, notice my evil eye bracelet? A gift from my beautiful friend Marissa (visit her blog at Never Dress Down) from her trip to Europe this summer. I only hope that I can travel the world someday soon.

Speaking of travelling though, I'm off to Las Vegas tomorrow to meet some guy that I miss like crazy. I can't wait to soak in a little sunshine and drink a few too many martinis. Have a great week loves!

september issue

One thing that I love about being a blogger is the amazing opportunities that I've been so grateful to experience, and also the incredible friendships with the Vancouver blogging community. I often feel as though I am best friends with all of them, and it's always such a treat when I get to spend time with them outside of the blogosphere. When the lovely Jen from Prairie Girl in the City asked me to model a few looks from Wear Else for the upcoming September issue of Framework Magazine, I could not say no. But me? A model? At barely five feet tall, I had to giggle. But it turned out to be one of the most amazing experiences yet.

Jen & Remo, you two are such a great team and I'm so excited for you to welcome a new little one into your family. A huge thank you to Jeff from FM Photographics for making me feel at ease in front of the camera, and to Christie for the incredible makeup job. It is such a pleasure to work with talented, kind-hearted people who have a love for creativity and fashion!

casual chic

I can't believe that it's already September. It is by far my favourite month of the year, for a few key reasons: One, I love the chill of the autumn season. Two, it marks the start of New York Fashion Week and all the stylish inspiration I could ever need. And three, it's my birthday on the 27th! All of these reasons combined could only mean one thing: shopping. I've already been flipping through the September issues and making note of my favourite trends for Fall and what is going on my ultimate wishlist. Lately I've been all about pants. Since I've been wanting light-wash jeans for ages, I was so happy to stumble upon these at American Eagle the other day. Worn with a neutral blazer and simple pumps, it's becoming one of my favourite transition pieces into the new season.

I hope you all had a fabulous Labour Day long weekend... And I'd love to know what your favourite trend for Fall is going to be. Happy Tuesday!
